Our Rating System.

Each Groove Tubes power tube employs a rating number between 1 and 10, noting its gain to distortion ratio.


 #1 to #3
   - Early Distortion
   - (Wider range of distortion)

 #4 to #7
   - Normal Performance

 #8 to #10
   - Late Distortion
   - (More clean power)


Always bias your amp for a new tube or rating number. However, you will not have to re-bias your amp the next time provided you usethe same GT tube and rating.
